Illustration

From Moonstone Books, series, "The Spider," the 1930s crime fighter, this is one of my favorite illustrations in the series. The action is being reflected in a bowl of thin consommé. As one waiter spills the soup, another waiter, actually a gunman, pulls his automatic from underneath his jacket. The soup, by the way, is in authentic 1930s depression-era bowls.
